Requirements
All applicants for membership must meet the following requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- Have a Valid New York State Drivers License
- Be able to pass a background check conducted by the Nassau County Fire Marshal’s office
- Be able to pass a department third-party physical provided at no charge to the candidate
- Be willing to meet all of the requirements for all new (probationary) members, including but not limited to assigned initial and ongoing trainings, schools, meetings, work details, and maintaining an acceptable alarm response.
